TUTU Christmas

Finally I got the chance to take some pictures of my girls. After weeks of planning and ordering, I finally had all things I needed for the Christmas card pics. This is what I thought anyway. Things didn't turn out exactly as I wanted but trial and error will make me a better photographer. I learned that I definitelydon't like cloth backdrops and that I need a better area in my house that is well lit in the mornings when everyone is more cooperative. Anyway not too bad. I've already got ideas running through my head to improve the outcome next time. I guess the pictures couldn't have turned out bad with my two darling princesses.

I'm Just 3!

l

Okay, finally getting a chance to post again. A few days after these photos were taken the drama began. Whew, getting sick children well again is tough. Finally we're well and hopefully can stay that way through the rest of the holiday season. These are just a few snapshots from Laelah's birthday. She amazes me everyday and not a day passes by where we don't get a giggle from something she says or does. Laelah says it best though. In response to me telling her how
I can't believe how big she getting and reminiscing about the past few years and how much she's changed; she tells me "but mom I'm just 3!" I told her you're absolutely right . It brought tears to my eyes and made me think of the special place that she holds in my heart and no matter how big she gets she'll always be my baby

The FUN Family

Oh my gosh! I had a wonderful time taking pictures of this family. They were so playful which made it easy for me to catch then in their natural state. I can say I am definitely still learning from every photogrpahy experience. Many of the pictures I took were overexposed, so its taken a little bit of work to get them to where I don't have to squint when looking at them. Anyway I look forward to future learning experiences because it will make me a better photographer.

PARTY!!!

Jacks birthday party was a blast. Laelah had a wonderful time jumping on the moonwalk and playing with the other children. All the kiddos were so cute in their costumes! I had a great time taking pictures of all of them. This is just a small piece of the pictures I took. Taking pictures of them definitely posed a challenge for me. They moved and they moved quickly. It was very hard for me to keep up with them. It was great practice for me. Hailey got to meet James and I think they really hit it off (ha ha).

TrIcK oR TrEaT

Laelah had a blast this halloween and Hailey was a little trooper tagging along while her big sister got to enjoy all the benefits of trick or treating. The girls were definitely our little princesses.

Baby Blue

I had so much fun taking these pictures. This little girl is such a sweetheart and is full of personality. She has the most gorgeous bright blue eyes. This is the first time I've had the pleasure of taking pictures of a child other than my own, although she is part of my family. I tried to get some pictures of my little girls with the pumpkins but they were not having any part of it.

Homemade root beer

These are my mad scientists. Elliott and Lealah had a blast making root beer. Laelah has become our little root-brewmaster. This our latest venture in brewing. We have made our own beer and root beer. Next is some wine for mommy.

Planting a garden

I got to use my camera for the first time on this day. It is quite an experience to challenge yourself when your brain gets used to the same thing for a while. I must say though, I enjoyed the challenge. These are some of my first pictures. Not too bad, but I do have some studying to do. These are some pictures of Laelah planting her garden. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her learn how to nurture something. I can't wait to see her expressions as she watches the results. Also, a picture of the baby, Hailey. I had to include her as well.
